Biophilic design
Biophilic design is a conceptual approach to architecture and interior environments that seeks to integrate natural elements into the built environment to enhance human health and well-being. Grounded in the understanding that humans possess an inherent connection to nature, this design philosophy contends that even indirect or simulated exposure to natural features can yield significant psychological and physiological benefits. By fostering environments that are more harmonious, calming, and sensorially engaging, biophilic design aims to reduce stress, elevate mood, and promote cognitive performance and productivity.

In essence, biophilic design embodies a deliberate pursuit: evoking the sensorial and emotional qualities of nature in the built environment. It is both a creative discipline and an evidence-based methodology, offering a multitude of interpretive paths rather than prescriptive formulas. Among the numerous material strategies available, wood stands out as a particularly powerful material: its tactile warmth, organic texture, and visual depth act as a bridge between architecture and the natural world.

"To my astonishment, I soon became aware that every thought I had was being suggested by an external source. If you want to find the secrets of the universe, you must think in terms of energy, frequency, and vibration."
Nikola Tesla (1856–1943)
